Dr. David Lowry
Dave completed a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1987 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta. He obtained a dentist licence from what is now the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta in 1987. Before buying Tri-Town Dental Centre through David Lowry Professional Corporation in 2008 he owned, and worked as a licenced dentist at, his own dental offices in Fort Macleod, Alberta from 1991 to 2002 and in Lethbridge, Alberta from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that he worked as a licenced associate dentist at other dental offices in Alberta.
He keeps up with evolving dental skills by attending continuing education dental courses at various venues throughout Canada and the USA. He tries to implement the most proven and up-to-date dental skills and technologies into his dental practice. He has worked many years as a general dentist providing dental treatment to his patients. He was a member of the governing Council of the Alberta Dental Association and College from 2007 to 2009. He speaks some Spanish.
Lacey
Lacey completed a Dental Assistant II diploma at Oulten College in Moncton, New Brunswick in 2011. She obtained her Registered Dental Assistant licence with the New Brunswick Dental Assistants Association in 2011. She worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in New Brunswick from 2011 to 2013. She obtained her Registered Dental Assistant licence with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants in 2013. She started working as a Registered Dental Assistant at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 2013.
Nicole
Nicole completed a Dental Assistant diploma at the Dental Assistant College of Saint John in Saint John, New Brunswick in 2009. She obtained her Registered Dental Assistant licence with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants in 2010. She has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in Alberta since 2010. She started working as a Registered Dental Assistant at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 2019.
Dr. Melissa Lowry
Melissa completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Science General from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta in 2008. She completed a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree at Boston University, Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. in 2012. She obtained her dentist licence from what is now the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta in 2012. She is an experienced dentist that is skilled in implant placement and restoration, oral surgery (including third molar removal), sedation dentistry, full mouth reconstructions, emergency treatment, restorative procedures, and endodontics. After working elsewhere in Alberta, Utah and New Zealand, she started working as a licenced dentist at Tri-Town Dental Center in 2024.
Jen
Jen completed a Dental Assistant Certificate at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta in 2008. She obtained her Registered Dental Assistant licence with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants in 2008. She worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in Alberta from 2008 to 2013, last working at Tri-Town Dental Centre. She returned to work at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 2017.
Dental Hygienists
Ginette
Ginette completed a Military Dental Hygienist diploma at Canadian Forces Dental Service School at Borden, Ontario in 1981. She worked as a Military Dental Hygienist at 4 Wing Cold Lake from 1981 to 1983 and then at what is now 17 Wing Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba from 1983 to 1989. She obtained her Registered Dental Hygienist licence with what is now the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta in 1989. She started working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 1989. She first language is French, and she is fluent in English.
Gillian
Gillian completed a Diploma of Dental Hygiene at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2008. She obtained her Registered Dental Hygienist licence with the College of Dental Hygienists of Nova Scotia in 2008. She worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Nova Scotia from 2008 to 2009. She obtained her Registered Dental Hygienist licence with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta in 2009. She started working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 2009.
Dana
Dana completed a Dental Hygiene diploma at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene in Toronto, Ontario in 2010. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Alberta in 2014. She obtained her Registered Dental Hygienist licence with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta in 2010. She started working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 2020.
Chelsea
Chelsea completed a Dental Hygiene diploma at the Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa, Ontario in 2015. After working as a Registered Dental Hygienist in British Columbia since 2015 and elsewhere in Alberta since 2021, she started working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Tri-Town Dental Centre in 2024.
Front Desk and Managers
Jill
Jill is one of the dental office managers. She completed a Nursing Aid diploma at the Nova Scotia Community College in Middleton, Nova Scotia in 1995. She worked for over 10 years as a nursing aid – first in Nova Scotia and then in Alberta. She worked as a dental office receptionist at Tri-Town Dental Centre from 2005 to 2009. In 2012 she became a dental office manager at Tri-Town Dental Centre. Her management duties include hiring, coordinating office programs and training, advertising, staff, facilities, payroll and the patient appointment recall system.
Teri
Teri is an experienced dental office receptionist. Her past dental office experience includes being a dental assistant and a dental office receptionist in Ontario beginning in 2001. She started working at Tri-Town Dental Centre as a dental office receptionist in 2012. In addition to her receptionist duties, she also handles difficult dental insurance claims, dental insurance pre-authorizations and helps manage the inventory.
Bettina
Bettina is an experienced dental office worker. Years ago, she worked for Tri-Town Dental as a Registered Dental Assistant, receptionist and then office manager before leaving to work in the oil patch. In 2020 Bettina returned to work as a dental office receptionist at Tri-Town Dental Centre. In 2023 she started sterilizing instruments here too.
General Legal Counsel, Manager and Privacy Officer
William Lowry
Will completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1991. He completed a Juris Doctor degree with honours at Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School at Provo, Utah in 1995. He became a licenced lawyer and member of the Utah State Bar in 1996. He completed 1 year as an articling student-at-law at a law firm in Lethbridge, Alberta and became a licenced lawyer and member of the Law Society of Alberta in 1999. He worked as an associate lawyer at a law firm in Cardston, Alberta from 2004 to 2014. He started working at Tri- Town Dental Centre in 2014 as the in-house general legal counsel and a dental office manager. He now practices law exclusively for David Lowry Professional Corporation (operating as Tri-Town Dental Centre). His non-lawyer duties include managing the facilities, patient ledgers, insurance payments, patient payments, equipment, computers, protection of patient privacy and the website.
